The Centre for Holistic Living is a specialist therapy practice in Coolum on the Sunshine Coast. Therapist Elle Reynolds draws on holistic and somatic practice to provide impactful counselling in a safe space.

Our Approach

Counselling can be a profound, fulfilling and rewarding experience, even when exploring uncomfortable or distressing experiences. It can bring a feeling of being deeply known and accepted. Our aim is for our therapy space to be a ray of light in the midst of life, where you walk out feeling more uplifted, reassured and recharged.

Taking a holistic approach can include personal spirituality, deeper meaning and purpose in life, sense of connection to the natural environment and humanity, and willingness to explore the complexity and uncertainty in life. Somatic therapy integrates the inner experience of the body into the healing process.

Counselling can cover the spectrum from practical daily life to deep inner experiences. Our inclusive, safe, and welcoming environment is neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+ friendly, providing a sanctuary for you to work towards wellness.

Our Therapy Aims

Counselling is a private and safe environment that supports you to explore the areas of life that are difficult for you. We uncover new growth and inner resources, and explore ways that you can integrate these into your life to work through the areas that have been troubling you. An important aspect of holistic and person-centred work is that we assume you are never ‘broken’, but that there are solutions and growth that haven’t yet become apparent. We keep exploring these ways forward while you grow and integrate new life skills and ways of being.

We also draw on a number of evidence-based counselling therapies which you may have heard of including Person Centred Counselling, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focussed Counselling, Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy.
